Terms of Service — Proferlo Furniture Australia

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. Overview

This website (proferlofurniture.com.au) is operated by Proferlo Furniture ("Proferlo", "we", "us", "our"). By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including any additional terms and policies referenced here or available by hyperlink, such as our Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns & Warranty Policy and Privacy Policy.

We may update, change or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates to this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes. Please check this page periodically.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

2. Australian sales only

Our website, pricing and services apply to Australian domestic customers only. All prices are displayed, transacted and billed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

3. Online-only store

Proferlo is an online-only furniture retailer. Our Acacia Ridge (Brisbane, QLD) facility is a dispatch warehouse only — it is not a showroom and is not open to the public. Click & Collect pickups are available from the warehouse by appointment only (see Section 7).

4. Products, pricing and availability

  • We make every effort to display product colours, finishes and dimensions accurately, but we cannot guarantee your screen's display of any colour is accurate. Please allow a 1–2 cm variance in stated product dimensions.
  • Certain products may be available in limited quantities. All product descriptions and pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, and we may discontinue any product at any time.
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities per person, household or order, and to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including orders that appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors. If we change or cancel an order, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided at the time of order.

5. Payment

  • We accept major payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, plus buy-now-pay-later options including Afterpay and Zip. See our payment options page for details.
  • Full payment is required at checkout before an order is dispatched or made available for pickup.
  • You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all orders, and to promptly update your details so we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

6. Delivery

Full delivery details, zones and timeframes are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy. In summary:

  • We deliver Australia-wide via third-party courier partners. Delivery costs for areas outside the free Metro zones are calculated at checkout based on order weight and destination.
  • Orders are dispatched on scheduled dispatch days (currently Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Delivery timeframe estimates are provided by the courier and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for unavoidable courier delays once an order is in transit.
  • Deliveries are made to the front door at ground level or building lobby only. Couriers do not carry items upstairs, assemble furniture, unwrap packaging or remove rubbish or old furniture.
  • We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or parcel lockers.
  • Authority to Leave (ATL) is authorised by default across all delivery methods, including the Free Metro catchments. This means no signature is required on delivery — your order will be left at the ground floor entrance or building lobby, and proof of delivery will be captured by our courier partners.
  • If you would prefer a signature to be required instead of ATL, please notify our team after placing your order or prior to dispatch. If your order has already been dispatched, signature requirements can be arranged directly with the courier via the "Lodge an Enquiry" option on the tracking page, or through the SMS/email notifications sent when your parcel is out for delivery.
  • If a delivery attempt fails because no one is available and ATL was not arranged, the order will be returned to the courier depot or our warehouse, and a re-delivery fee (as charged by the courier) will apply.
  • Pre-order and mixed orders are held and dispatched together once all items are in stock, unless a partial delivery is arranged. Split deliveries are booked separately and a fee may apply.
  • Any transit damage should be reported to us within 14-days of delivery where possible, with photos or video, so we can raise it with the courier (this timeframe does not limit your ACL rights).

7. Click & Collect (pickup)

  • Free pickup is available from our Acacia Ridge QLD 4110 warehouse. Select Click & Collect at checkout.
  • Collection is by advance arrangement only, Monday–Friday 10:00am–4:00pm (excluding public holidays). Wait for your "Ready for Pickup" notification before attending.
  • Bring your order number or Ready for Pickup email and valid government ID matching the order name. Third-party pickup is available if arranged with us in advance by the person who placed the order.
  • Orders must be collected within 14 days of being ready. If you need longer, contact us to arrange storage. Uncollected orders may be cancelled after follow-up contact. For delayed dispatch requests, if an order is held at our warehouse at the customer's request for more than 2 weeks past the original ready-for-dispatch date, it will no longer be eligible for a change-of-mind return or refund. This has no impact on your rights under the Australian Consumer Law regarding faulty, damaged, or not-as-described goods — these remain fully protected regardless of how long the order has been held.

8. Package Protection

Optional Package Protection can be added at checkout, covering theft, loss and damage in transit. Where selected, items require a signature on delivery. In the event of theft, a police report (including report number and contact details) is required to validate a claim. If an item was delivered to the correct address and signed for, a replacement or refund will not be provided under Package Protection. Package Protection is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the ACL.

9. Returns, refunds and warranty

Our full Returns & Warranty Policy forms part of these Terms. In summary:

  • Change of mind: 14-day return period from the date of delivery. Items must be returned in original packaging and original condition. A return shipping fee applies, and the initial delivery cost is deducted from the refund — including on free-shipping orders. Clearance items, orders held at our warehouse beyond 2 weeks past the original ready-for-dispatch date at the customer's request, and made-to-order products are excluded from change-of-mind returns.
  • Warranty: all Proferlo products carry a minimum 12-month manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Many products carry longer cover, listed on the product page. To make a claim, contact us with your order number, a description of the issue and photos or video. Verified warranty repairs, replacement parts or replacements are provided free of charge. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, impacts or unauthorised repairs is not covered.
  • Your ACL rights: our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Our warranty and returns policy are in addition to these rights.

10. Assembly

Products are delivered flat-packed for self-assembly, with instructions included and available on product pages. Optional professional assembly through our third-party partner may be available depending on location; third-party assembly services are provided under that partner's own terms. For pricing and scheduling details, please visit the booking portal here

11. Marketing communications

By opting in to email or SMS marketing (at checkout or via our subscription tools), you agree to receive recurring order notifications (including abandoned checkout reminders), marketing offers and review requests. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and message/data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by replying STOP to any marketing SMS. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect and use personal information.

12. Accuracy of site information

Occasionally there may be information on our site containing typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, promotions or availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to update or cancel affected orders (with a full refund of any amount paid) if information is inaccurate at the time the order was placed.

13. Prohibited uses

You must not use our site or its content for any unlawful purpose, to infringe intellectual property rights, to transmit malicious code, to harvest personal information, or to interfere with the security or operation of the site. We may terminate your access for violating any prohibited use.

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject always to your non-excludable ACL rights, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or products, including delays outside our control. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the resupply of the goods or the cost of resupply.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision remains enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions are unaffected. These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and Proferlo regarding use of the site.
