We make it, we test it, we prove it
As the manufacturer, we know exactly what goes into every piece — and we publish the independent lab results, not just the claims.

Is this real solid wood furniture?
Yes — this piece is built from kiln-dried solid hardwood, not board wrapped in a printed woodgrain foil. Much of what's sold as "timber furniture" at this price is foil-wrapped board that can't be repaired once it chips.
What that means for you: a piece you can keep for years — furniture that develops character instead of wearing out, and holds resale value instead of heading to landfill.
Why does kiln-dried timber matter?
Freshly milled timber holds moisture that escapes slowly over years — and as it escapes, the wood moves, causing warping, splitting and loose joints. Proferlo hardwood is kiln-dried in temperature-controlled chambers until its moisture content is stabilised before a single joint is cut.
What that means for you: drawers and doors that still glide properly years from now, joints that never develop wobbles, and no hairline cracks after your first humid summer or heated winter.
Is the timber responsibly sourced?
Yes — all Proferlo hardwood is FSC certified, meaning the timber is traced to responsibly managed forests through an independently audited chain of custody, not a self-awarded eco label.
What that means for you: solid wood furniture without the sustainability guilt — verified by the world's most recognised forestry certification.
How long does solid hardwood furniture last?
Decades, with basic care — that's the fundamental difference between solid hardwood and board furniture. Dense furniture-grade hardwood holds screws and fittings indefinitely, survives repeated moves, and can be sanded back and refinished rather than replaced. Because Proferlo manufactures factory-direct, that longevity doesn't carry a premium-brand price.
What that means for you: cost per year of ownership far below cheaper furniture you'd replace two or three times over.

The chair is sturdy and beautiful, I like it very much.
This chair is beautiful and well priced. Unfortunately it’s not perfect and I needed to adjust in assembling it. It was frustrating at first as I needed to drill some of the holes more so it can connect nicely and adjust the angle of the cushion fixer so I can screw it well in place.
Well made and good looking. Not too hard to assemble but will be easier if you have another person to help you out
